Modeling SEO Updates

Well the year is almost over and what a year it’s been! Countries are falling, economies are collapsing, everyone is setting up free modeling sites (including here) and it’s getting harder to find paying jobs because everyone is doing it for free!

I created Modeling SEO to help everyone understand which sites are good and how to use them better while staying away from the bad sites. We have started this process and we have some exciting new things coming out next month - updates are on the way.

Here is one major announcement and it is very important.

The laws and search engines are changing and the winds of change have landed on our doorstep. Modeling SEO is changing its policy on nudity or mature rated photos. You can still post nudes and implied pictures but you have to have you profile set to “Private.” There is a good reason and an even better solution for everyone but first:

1. Sign in and go to your page – find the "Profile Information" section and click on the edit button
2. Next click on the privacy settings and under “Visibility” click on “Member” or “Just My Friends” then click save. That’s it.

Here are the concerns and remedies:

Some models want their nudes to be seen community professionals in Modeling SEO but do not want friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. to see their work. They might have a private page but if a photographer posts them on his or her public page then that’s not good. Now those pictures are not viewable to the public and that problem is solved.

Another concern is that a private page does not get searched or indexed by the search engines thus making a private page useless for marketing your information. We now encourage you to create a page for your private photos and choose the setting and then create the public page to market yourself without the nudes or mature rated images. This way you can have 2 pages and full power to market both.

Start by either deleting the nude or mature rated photos on your public site and upload them to your private site. Or, make your current page private and start a new public profile page.

Search engines rate sites and place them in the results pages based on many different reasons. As a global SEO company (Search Engine Optimization), we deal with search engines in many different countries and the rules change from place to place.

I am sorry for the inconvenience but this is something that needs to be done by January 31, 2012. After that any nude or mature rated photo on the site will be deleted and if it occurs frequently that profile will be blocked. So please take care of this in the next few weeks.
